Speech on Navratri
- The word Navratri is derived by combining of two Hindi words - 'Nav' and 'Ratri' .
- 'Nav' means nine and 'Ratri' means nights so this festival celebrated for nine-nights.
- This festival is also known as Nav-Durga, that means nine forms of Goddess Durga.
- On 10th day we celebrate Vijya-Dashmi that also known as Dushera.
- It's celebrated as a victory day of Maa Durga on the demon Mahishasura.
- On this day we worship Goddess Durga for prosperity and good health.
- Navratri is the most auspicious and widely celebrated Hindu festivals.
- It is celebrated by the people with great joy and happiness.

- Some people do fast for all nine days with different ways.
